The team at Tri State Safaris were proud to be announced as winners at the 2016 Regional Tourism Awards held in Echuca in July this year. Tri State Safaris representatives collected two winning awards at the well-attended annual event, one award for Ecotourism and another for Adventure Tourism. These come as the latest addition to the tour company’s accolades, with representatives collecting numerous awards during its 20+ years of operation - most notable of which are their six Australian Tourism Awards – two of which are for Indigenous Tourism.
In a speech given by the previous owner and current manager Michael McCulkin, the Tri State Safaris ethos of environmental sustainability was echoed beautifully with the words “our land is red but our hearts are green”.
These two awards are particularly sentimental to Michael and his wife Joanne as they have recently handed over ownership of the tour company. However, the couple will continue on as managers of the Outback tour company well into 2017. They are confident that the high levels of professionalism, service and customer satisfaction that Tri State has been renowned for will continue into the future with the new owners.
