Then join us as we visit one of the largest collections of Aboriginal Panamarittee engravings in Australia, on a working sheep station north of Broken Hill.
Adventure through red dust and salt bush country, to Mutawintji National Park, where we’ll visit the renowned indigenous rock engravings and hand stencils found in the restricted-access Historic Sites. Tri State Safaris is one of only a handful of tour operators with both accreditation and permission to enter these sacred areas.
Wander through the famous art galleries of Broken Hill and visit the Big Picture and the Line of Lode, before heading to Silverton (almost a ghost town), the home of movies such as 'Mad Max 2' and 'A Town Like Alice'. Marvel at the vast expanse of Mundi Mundi plains, and be inspired by the spectacular views from the Sculpture Symposium.
Finally, enjoy a leisurely day exploring the picturesque Menindee Lake system and Kinchega National Park where you’ll have a great opportunity to spot some of the area's abundant wildlife, including emus, kangaroos and birdlife. With its beautiful scenic location, Menindee has many picture postcard opportunities for the budding or professional photographer or the avid birdwatcher.
