Corner Country
Established in 1992, Tri State Safaris was borne from a passion to share the remarkable Outback with like-minded adventurers. Since then we have been travelling the outback roads, from Broken Hill to Broome and everything in between, and we are constantly excited by what we see!
We are committed to providing outstanding customer service, and our many tourism awards are testament to this goal. To ensure each of our customers have the best experience possible we travel in small personal groups in our specially equipped 4WD vehicles.
There is also the option to tag-along in your own 4wd vehicle if you would prefer to ‘drive the adventure’ yourself. Our tag-along tours are fully catered and you get all the same inclusions as our passengers.
Our 4 Day Corner Country Tour is without doubt our most popular short tour! Let us introduce you to the real Australian Outback, where you will meet the intriguing characters that call this land home! Be amazed at the stunning contrast of colours, the endless blue horizons, piercing red sand dunes, rugged rocky escarpments, abundant bird and wildlife, and at times carpets of colourful wildflowers. The secrets of this spectacular area are being uncovered rapidly, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Join us on a journey of discovery into this beautiful country. Staying underground in White Cliffs is an experience you will never forget, along with the opportunity to meet the people who live and work in this quirky outback town. Take the opportunity to visit three states at once – and more to the point three different time zones during daylight savings – at Cameron Corner. The perfect place to capture stunning outback images with the Dingo Fence rolling over red sand dunes, you will find the photo opportunities are endless!
Oh, and did I mention the wildlife…….Sturt National Park is the home of the big red kangaroo, and on most visits they are in prolific numbers. Depending on seasonal changes the area can abound in not only roos and emus, but it is a haven for various lizards and birds. At times the flocks of budgies, galahs, corellas or cockatiels cloud the sky with their wings – the opportunities for spotting birds and wildlife are endless. You may even be lucky enough to get a good look at Australia’s largest bird of prey – the majestic Wedge Tail Eagle.
With two nights staying in Tibooburra, you will enjoy just sitting on the verandah of the Family Hotel and ‘watching the town go by’. As the most remote town in NSW and without doubt the capital of the Corner Country, this is a town oozing with characters and stories – take the time to have a drink at one of the hotels and chat to the locals – their stories are always fascinating!
Further on our tours take us to iconic towns such as Innamincka and Birdsville, the spectacular Simpson Desert and even the Kimberley.
